Control key represents only version? what is difference between version and subversion?
Don't get confused with Control Key and EDI versions. EDI versions are different according to specifications. eg, EDIFACT/EANCOM 96A, 96B etc. EDI versions and subversions can be maintained/edited with message editor functionality. Control key is a version of your own content that you have customized that will be used to maintain provide information to PI runtime. Example: You have standard ORDERS 96A in SAP version and you have customized ORDERS 96A in your "Own" version. PI runtime needs this right version information to validate and convert edi messages during runtime.
How to customize the message definitions?
First you have to copy into a new control key and then customize it using message editor.
how to upload other than standard content in to Integration Cockpit?
suppose mine is EAN003 which is not given standard content
SAP support almost standard definitions (content) acc. to specifications. You can still customize/create new content using EDI content Manager.
what is the interface index in Control key scenario association and what is the importance?
If you have defined multiple rows in Control Key scenario association table and these is a conflict during runtime, row with highest interface index will be chosen.
