Using Seeburger, you explicitly need to define E2X and X2E mappings using the BIC Mapping Designer. And afterwards, you need to deploy them.
Using the B2B add-on, you do not need to do this.
Make sure, within the EDI content manager, Control keys and Control Key Scenario Association are defined properly. In that case, the system knows what kind of message is entering the system.
Also, make use of the module localejbs/EdifactConverterModule properly.
In case you do not have all this, you will get an error message like this: no ruleset available for xxx (your specific EDI message).
